Central Tools CEN3S500 12" Machinist Square is great for the most demanding applications. It will quickly and easily measure 90 degrees, and it will not deflect 0.001" over 12 inches, a feat all but impossible for most other squares. It is constructed from hardened, chrome vanadium steel and has a black painted finish.

The Central Tools 12" machinist square is used to start both drill bits and reamers when drilling and reaming holes. It has a micro-fine etched blade that provides more accurate reading of 0, 3, and 6mm sizes, and it can be used for metalworking applications with its hardened measurement surface. The straight section blade comes in handy for such applications as aligning bearings or clamping the vise. Our CEN3S500 12" machinist square is precision molded in one piece, made of high impact ABS plastic, used to set arc and circle diameter cuts for milling metal, wood or plastic. The new Central Tools CEN3S500 is a 12" machined aluminum square. It features a .0005" resolution and .0002" linearity on both faces.

Machinist Squares are made of hardwood maple with a lacquer finish and has patented twin lead rule, graduated to 0.005" accuracy from 4 sides. Twin lead rule is also etched for easy reading. Squares have fixed clamping screws to reduce opening breakage. Square is held together by 3/4" by 3/4" hardwood dowels.
