The slider functions as a deadbolt as well as a door handle allowing for the doors to be locked from the outside by pushing the handle into the lock position or unlocking with a key. Offering an impressive 1,400 life cycles for increased durability and corrosion resistance, this dummy exterior entry knob is constructed using stainless steel for a longer lasting finish. The Lexington 1400 series dummy entry handle is designed for use on patio, closet, and kitchen exterior doors. It comes pre-installed with all-steel screws to match the finish of your door. It also has an over-travel stop to prevent it from being forced too far in and being inadvertently locked.

Exterior dummy entry lock complete with all necessary hardware for mounting to a pre-drilled surface. The unfinished surface mounts directly over a pre-existing 1" hole in the door frame. The dummy handle is not functional and does not turn or latch the door closed but allows the doorknob to turn freely. This attractive lock matches the look of the other locks in a series of different finishes, letting you choose which one best fits your home.
