The CAPFA AlumaFin7™ cased upflow/downflow evaporator coil, 2½ ton, 17½ in. cabinet with orifice expansion device is designed for use with a range of outdoor commercial 5-ton cooling systems operating at -27ºC to 40ºC (USDA Zone 7-9). The coil uses a low profile, energy efficient chamber design that offers better performance than standard roof installations based on both high-efficacy (MEF) and energy efficiency ratio (EER) tests. The coil also features reduced solubility at low temperatures.

Our AlumaFin7™ Cased Aluminum Evaporator Coils are ideal for home, office, industrial and retail applications. They are available in a wide range of R-values from 1.1 to 19.8, and seven different case styles including our most popular open and cased coils. Our coils are field replaceable and our patented plastic coil clips will make installation easier for the contractor.

Made of rugged aluminum, this unconventional cased-type aluminum coil allows gases to move through the entire coil resulting in a more efficient cooling process. This cost-effective, energy-saving unit can be used upflow or downflow and with either cross or parallel flow refrigerant piping. A unique horseshoe-shaped manifold combines the advantages of field threaded and permanently welded manifolds. The polyester-coated coil is designed to prevent interior corrosion, while the cased evaporator coil offers superior durability and easy access to the sleeve and fin area.

Holding the capacity requirements for entire home comfort, this 17.5-inch vertical aluminum evaporator coil can be used for residential and light commercial applications, featuring two factory-installed 6-inch vents in a low profile design ideal for retrofit applications.
