This file offers two applications in one tool. It can be used as a straight body file or as a half round body file, giving you the best of both worlds. The Martin Straight Shell Body File is perfect for shaping and smoothing rough edges on guitar bodies.
The Martin Body File has a straight body style. It is designed for deburring and light finishing of metal, plastic, rubber, wood and other materials. It removes paint blemishes, rough edges and burrs. The file is straight with two parallel sides and two internal shaping surfaces that are positioned perpendicular to the working face. This body file is designed for hand filing on flat surfaces, counting teeth on gears and general deburring. The file has arched handles with an adjustable finger stop for precise control without needing other tools.
This straight body file is sanded extra-fine to leave a smooth finish on hardwoods. The head is made from tempered spring steel to ensure long life.
