Cartiers De L'Envol is an interesting spicy lavender scent with lots of green notes that are found when the lavender is mixed with violet. The mint in the Genre gives it an airy freshness that isn't found when lavender is worn alone.

Open the stiff box and you are greeted by a very light lavender. The scent is well balanced between lavender and mint, with the mint coming out much stronger than the lavender upon initial application. As it begins to warm, an overall synthetic muskiness begins to manifest itself which gives it a sort of old lady vibe. After another 10-15 minutes the muskiness begins to subside and the overall scent begins to feel cleaner, but it never really does all that much for me. I enjoy the bottle, but this fragrance was something of a disappointment. There are better options available at lower price points.
