Hillfolk

Hillfolk is the story of what happens when an ambitious young man with a troubled past stumbles into the wild, dark heart of the American West and finds that in order to survive, he'll have to become someone else entirely.

The spirit moves through the band as it slaps its thigh and arches back to sing a soulful "Ho!" The warm, deep tones are coaxed from Joe Tatum's harmonica, while the notes of Robbie Crowell's flute come in clear but like the sound of wind through pines. A country of stories and songs, of hardy people living in rugged splendor on the edge of the kingdom. When a stranger comes to Mhaldor asking for charity, a farmer's generosity may cost him dearly; a king's bindings can be forged only from the strongest metal. The Cornish Clan will face hardships, hard choices and hard blows delivered by an implacable foe in this 21st century fantasy about ancient Celtic traditions in a world that has yet to discover the wheel or writing.
