ZENITH PRE-FILTER for Star Part # 2I-302579 is the pre-filter used in a filter/lighting system. If you have a water plant, this will keep your sediment, debris and chemicals down to a low level. We recommend 1 PRE-FILTER per 12500 GPH (gallons per hour) on an average system with chlorine.

This is a pre-filter, which is used with the Star, Model # 2I-3005K, that protects the HEPA filter from large particles before they enter the vacuum.

When you are starting up your Star grill for the first time each year, or if you have just completed an extended cooking session and want to burn off any residual food, install a PRE-FILTER firestarter in your firebox and light it. The PRE-FILTER will soften the paint on the inside of your firebox, and eliminate any remaining food particles that might otherwise require cleaning. (Only one is needed per season.)

Designed to fit the Star 100, and 200 Donut Holes, this Pre-filter is designed to be used with our standard filter bag. This part can be purchased separately if necessary but generally is not required as it should still be usable after 16-18 months of use.

This Star pre-filter comes with a 2 year warranty. It can help to extend the life of your heating system by trapping large particles before they get deep into the heat exchanger tube chimney. This easy to replace filter is located on the bottom of the unit which makes it convenient to change when needed. It comes with four screws and some anti-seize paste. The Star filter uses a 1 inch by 16 thread size.
