The 1/2 X 3/4 Natural Gas Valve for Rheem water heaters is a Millivolt (MV) hot water pilot light gas valve used to ignite the burner when not electrically ignited. It can be found on Rheem RTE 13 oil & gas fired models and the RTE 15, RTL 15E, RTL 19 oil-fired models.

The Rheem 1/2 x 3/4 Wall Mounted Thermostatic direct gas valve features a thermoplastic combination pilot orifice to help eliminate freezing, dual sensitivity millivolt system to provide more consistent water temperature and a self-cleaning anti-condensation sensor that is factory calibrated for easy installation and reliability.

Whether you have a larger home with multiple bathrooms, or a small studio apartment with one bathroom, the Rheem 235121 water heater valve is ideal for your needs. This gas valve is 1/2" in diameter and 3/4" in length, fits a 1/2" x 3/4" connection, and has both a pilot and electrical ignition. It also operates at 160 - 310 psi. To use this gas valve to its full potential, simply connect it to a Rheem water heater.

It is essential that your Rheem gas water heater operates at its full efficiency. This valve is a direct OEM replacement for the old valve, and can be installed easily in place of your old gas valve. It is compatible with standard and combination pilot light systems. The Rheem gas valve is made of brass, and works with 1/2in copper pipe connections.
