The Ranco VAR.SPD.SW. 277V 5AMP is a modular control switch panel, that has been designed specifically for use with RANCO brand air conditioning systems configured for three way operation, in which the main air conditioning unit acts as a 1 way system with regard to fan speed, and remote air conditioning units act as the 2 way components of the 3 way system.

The RANCO VAR.SPD.SW. 277V 5AMP is used to control the speed of a single AC motor, with manual override capability and three-stage operation, it allows the operator to select from six speeds. The unit can be set to continuously cycle between two different speeds in forward or reverse, or can be set to one speed in forward and reverse (to run a pump for instance).

This unit is a RANCO VAR.SPD.SW. 277V 5AMP Pull-Out Switch, used for the cooling/heating system that sits behind the wall. It is a Ranco brand unit, manufactured in 2007, and was designed to operate on electric supply of 277 volts at 5 amperes.
