Throttle actuator - Mercury 8 & 9.9, MFG# 120-7059-01, for TR-1 Gold Autopilot. New ECU (Aug. 2015) is not compatible with previous actuator kits.

The throttle actuator, MFG# 120-7059-01, for TR-1 Gold Autopilot is used to convert a Mercury 8HP or 9.9HP outboard motor (5/8" shaft diameter) into a 200mm 24v trolling motor. This kit has been discontinued by the manufacturer and upgraded with an all new controller board. The new kits have an ECU (Electronic Control Unit) that mounts directly above the Throttle Actuator. The old control unit is not compatible with the new controller board and needs to be replaced.

Servo # 120-7059-01 (MFG#TR1) throttle actuator for TR-1 Gold Autopilot systems manufactured between 01/2004 and 07/2007.

Alpha Parts now offers a new throttle actuator option for the TR-1 Gold Autopilot. The TR-1 Autopilot can be retrofitted onto the following models of outboard marine engines: 70, 80, 90, 100, 115, 125, 135 and 150 HP. The new actuator is only compatible with this newer style of ECU .

The Throttle Actuator is designed for Mercury Outboards 8-9.9 H.P. and for jet drives, as a replacement for the discontinued OMC part # 12-589475 that wore out and failed too soon due to spider cracking, causing erratic throttle response, hard starting, and rough running. This kit is currently available in a plug & play version with the mating connector attached plus a spliced dash-pot line kit for the installation of our new TAD3 ECU (separate kit).

The Mercury 9.9 and 8 HP Throttle Actuators from Yanmar America are designed to fit the Yanmar-built engines in the Mercury line of outboard motors. This product is designed as an upgrade to match the latest Mercury Gold Autopilot steering system, but will also work with all previous models of this steering system.
