The Rheem 232279 is a high-limit circuit kit for the Rheem 40-180F heat pump. It includes a high-limit temperature control (that may be concealed in the unit itself), both leads, and front access wires. This circuit kit does not include the power supply, which must be purchased separately.
This kit is designed to be used in high limit applications. This kit addresses temperature limits 40F to 180 degrees F and exports a voltage from 32-180 Volts DC.
The High Limit Kit comes with a 0-10K thermistor and capillary tube along with a capillary clamp that must be installed on the evaporator coil to measure evaporator coil temperature.
This kit includes high limit with "H" suffix, Grille, Louver, and Damper Kits. 2 3/8" to 2 1/4" reducers are included, where required
Rheem will repair or replace (at our option) the cooling heating coil at no charge if it is found to be defective on a 40-180 0F ambient cabinet and the failure does not appear to be caused by causes other than defective materials or workmanship within five (5) years from date of installation.
Designed specifically to heat or cool systems with variable refrigerant flow(VRA) type coils and a condensing temperature of between 40 to 180 degrees F.
Imperial High Limit Thermostats are designed for heat pumps, furnaces and air conditioners. There has been a change in the way Rheem Imperial High Limit Thermostats are installed. If you have previously installed a Rheem Imperial High Limit Thermostat, when you go to replace it, you must purchase the new design high limit thermostat that sports a black dial face and blue/red band above the dial. This is true if your model number is below or equal to:
