The 77816 Brass Body Direct Acting General Service Solenoid Valve is designed for general purpose metering and control applications in water or gas lines. The solenoid operated direct acting valve has a non-return seat, ball type poppet, 1/4" female pipe threads, 3-way solenoid operation with normally closed contacts.
The ASCO 77816 Direct Acting Solenoid Valve features a brass body, 3-way universal design and a .12 Cv flow rate. It has a 1/4" NPT connection and is designed for 120 VAC, 60 Hz, 110 VAC 50 Hz. This valve has a normally closed position with an open position for electrical activation. Solenoid valves are used in applications that require control of liquid or gas flow using electric current. The solenoids coil is energized by current from the solenoid power supply which activates the plunger to open or close the valve port.

The 77816 series valves for general service applications feature a brass body, thermoplastic handle covers, and an extended stem that provides a better grip. The body contains the valve internals and is designed for a minimum of five million cycles (verified). The universal design allows for direct mounting to the end of any 3/4 inch pipe or tubing. Valve ports have pipe thread connections and come with a pair of locknuts. The 3-way valve is supplied with 1/2 inch NPT adapter fittings.
