The YORK S1-324-36073-553 1/2HP ECM Motor is an entry level direct drive unit that provides reliable, economical operation for light weight single phase pumps of any type. The new ECM motor technology is designed to provide reduced electrical consumption with reduced vibration, yet still maintain normal operating temperatures. This new ECM motor also meets the new energy efficiency IE2 requirements first established by the California Energy Commission in late 2012.

York's Super 1/2HP, 1725 RPM ECM Motor features electronically commutated microprocessor control that eliminates the use of contactor parts. The result is a 1/2HP motor to meet today's demanding HVAC applications.

The Class S is made for the true "Air King" at heart. This York Class S is powered by a 1/2 horsepower ECM motor that can easily handle big jobs, heavy weights, and extra tools, meaning more power to you!

York's ECM motors are the result of an innovative design that incorporates an electronically commutated magnetic rotor, along with a highly efficient permanent magnet, to provide independence from brush and slip ring systems resulting in a quieter, lighter running motor. Composite resin rotor blades, after treated with a graphite lubricant, reduce operating current and power consumption which favorably impact the life of the motor.

The S1 Series single phase air cooled motor is available with both thermal overload protection and electronic overload protection. Both protection methods are interlocked with start winding current monitoring to prevent any loss of service in the event of an overload condition. This air-cooled, permanent split capacitor (PSC) motor provides long life and dependability for use in harsh environments. Typical applications include washing machines, copy machines, refrigeration, vacuum cleaners, pumps, blowers, mixers, material handling equipment and small air conditioning units.
