The urn tip is ideal for decorative applications utilizing a square corner hinge. For antique bronze or copper finished hinges, the urn tip will appear as an integrated element of the hinge.
The Baldwin 1091190I is a Keystone Tip that is designed to conceal and strengthen the corner joint of a square casing. The Keystone Tip is designed with an inner ring, an outer ring, and a middle piece using two wire springs per tip. The middle piece has two tabs which fit into the case grove slot on the rear of the lock. Squeeze the tabs together with pliers to squeeze the spring against the sides of the case groove slot and flatten the spring tabs against the groove.
