This item is to be used in combination with the White-Rodgers 541843-B Control Module, COIL AND CONTACTS 24 VDC/230 VAC

This is a 12vdc SPNO (Single Pole, Normally Open) isolated coil. Single pole means that the coil will only activate power to one function when it is engaged. Normally open means that the output will be "ON" when the coil is de-energized.
