When electricity flows through the wire, the coil becomes magnetized and attracts the armature, which opens or closes the gas valve.

As standard as it gets with a gas solenoid valve. Solid brass construction, anodized aluminum valve seat and non-rising stem provide superior performance in all positions. Completely self-contained with no external vents or drain connections to break down. Also available in 3/2, 4/2 and 5/2 configurations.
