The Schlage 16228613 is a universal deadlock that is part of the Schlage SC1 series. It works with both wood and metal doors and has a backset of 2-3/8 inches. This unit comes with a lever or a knob, depending on your preference. This deadbolt can be used on any door up to 1-3/8 inches thick, but it cannot be used in applications that require an ANSI Grade 1 rating. It can be used on doors constructed from steel, timber or plywood and has been designed to meet all standards set by ANSI/BHMA A156.2.
