This media filter is constructed with thermally fused pleated material for durability & optimal air flow. The MERV rating of 8 allows for these particles to be efficiently removed from the air you breathe while reducing annoying dust buildup in your home.

The 17.5x28x5 MERV8 Media Filter with a MERV 13 air filter rating reduces indoor dust, pollen, mold & mildew when used in the air handler of a central forced air heating and cooling system. It is also good for reducing smoke, dust and pet dander.

The Rheem 17.5x28x5 MERV8 Media Filter is designed to fit Rheem 30 and 36 5" High Efficiency Air Cleaner Models. When ordering this filter, the shipping lead time and customer service line may find it helpful to know that this filter fits the following Rheem Air Handler Models: Air Handler Model(s): 3-Ton (1). This MERV8 filter replaces the flimsy furnace filter I had in my home. I installed it myself, and it was very easy. They included the screws you need as well. This media filter works a lot better than what I had in there previously
