This key blank is designed to be copied by your local locksmith into a replacement Schlage key. The SCHLAGE brand guarantees this item to work with existing Schlage C keyway locks or other C keyway locks produced by other manufacturers. The "C" refers to the spacing of the cuts on the key blank that make up the signature shape that fit inside the lock's pin tumbler cylinder. Some of these cuts are of differing depths, called a "double bitted" key'.
