The 13998 Series, 3/4" FPT Valve W/Side Taps, is a millivolt gas valve designed to receive a low pressure pilot signal (3 volts) from your furnace control and a medium pressure signal (24-32 volts) to open the solenoid portion of the valve, allowing line voltage gas to pass through. This valve also has the ability to accept a low pressure 24-32 volt signal to close the solenoid portion of the valve. The tip off to close (commonly called a clapper or snap action) is initiated by inputting a lower 24-28 volt
The White-Rodgers 13998 is a 3/4" NC millivolt gas valve. It has three handle positions: off, gas-in, and manual. It features two side taps and a low pressure regulator to maintain boiler suction at less than 2 psi.
