The convenient SNAP DISC thermostat has a built-in snap disc to provide precise control of temperature. A 160F setting in the off cycle 140F in heat-cycle combined with a copper wind coil to promote faster heating.

SnapDisc combines the comfort and convenience of SnapStart disc technology with the flexibility of Disc Fan Control. The SnapDisc operates by interrupting 120VAC fan power to the motor at pre-set temperatures. This interruption can be as short as 1/2 second for immediate response or as long as 15 seconds to give time for a deliberate temperature drop. The White-Rodgers 5086 uses SnapDisc technology to meets the requirements of both NFPA 90A (1999) and 90B (2001) without the use of any accessory devices.

The 5086 is equipped with a reset switch to ensure accurate low limit temperature re-setting. An optional auxiliary control is available for control of a second heating or cooling source.
