The snap disc fan or limit 160/200F rep is used with packaged terminal air-conditioning (PTAC) units that have an external snap disc shutoff and a snap disc temperature limiter. The snap disc is used to limit and prevent overheating of the unit.

The 5103 is a snap disc fan and limit control in one. The adjustable limit control works with disc fan applications for variable air volume control. This unit will also work with heaters from infinitely small amounts of heat to full load. The 5103 is ideal for use on indirect fired water heaters, masonry heaters, space heaters, and many other applications requiring a low wattage output.

The Snap Disc Fan Limit Switch Type 5103 is designed to control a snap disc fan. It mounts on the outside of the duct in which the fan is mounted, with mounting bolts which are furnished and attached to the switch by plug-in of one terminal and screwing down the other. The Snap Disc Fan Limit Switch Type 5103 prevents equipment damage or property loss resulting from overheated regulating components caused by runaway fan operation.
