The 3M6240 is a single-sided chest piece and headset on a low-temperature thermoplastic elastomer (LTPE) tubing. The tubing provides resistance to skin oils and alcohol for extended service life. The single-sided chest piece has soft sealing discs for patient comfort, which also helps prevent "catching" of clothing. The stethoscope offers high acoustic sensitivity, improved acoustic performance and a tunable diaphragm.
