This Carrier vertical condensate pan is designed for the Coil, scroll, air-cooled Heating & Air Conditioning system and comes with either 1/4 in. heating element spacing or 3/8 in.-1/4 in. heating element spacing coil. This vertical pan is constructed from durable, cast aluminum and comes with adjustable bottom plate allowing for fine tuning of pan to condenser coil clearance. The Carrier 40RM500356, part of the Scroll family is a scroll compressor with a condensate pan. The primary purpose of this unit is to provide refrigeration. The condensate pan is located at the bottom. Condensate will drip into the metal pan and can be drained away from the system.

There's nothing more frustrating than a noisier-than-usual fan when you're trying to catch some Z's. In Carrier's industry first, MultiStage ESC (Enhanced Sound Control) makes the SCROLL Series quieter at all RPM ranges. Additionally, Carrier found that the condensate pan, located at the bottom of most bathroom fans, was responsible not only for moisture management but also noise generation. By concealing the pan in a scroll-like design, the new design allows air outlets to be produced further from the pan itself which decreases noise while providing optimum balance between air and water.

These units are available in single speed or variable speed units that can help control humidity levels inside the home.

This Carrier Condensing Unit is ideal for up to 5-ton domestic central furnace/air conditioning or heat pump systems. The y-connector kit on the drop line set is required for this condenser unit but is not included. This condensing unit has a scroll compressor, 2-speed high limit auto-reset control board, and is designed to be suitable for use with air conditioning systems and applications with multiple heating zones.
