This high quality THERMAL REGULATOR ASME is designed to provide safety relief from excessive pressure in domestic potable water systems. It can be used with a variety of materials, including copper and plastic. The THERMAL REGULATOR ASME is generally installed in the cold water line at the point where the plumbing changes direction, or at a point where it changes direction by 90 degrees.

The Thermal Regulator, Model 460924, is a precision instrument designed to precisely limit the pressure of steam or gases in a system. The regulator consists of a diaphragm valve and is used in conjunction with pressure gages for control of boiler steam. An integral part of the device is an automatic venting capability designed to automatically open when pressure exceeds safe limits. A two-part housing made from heavy duty metal provides protection from external damage and excellent heat transfer from the heater body to the contents inside the housing. This double walled design also reduces condensation on the outside and provides additional protection against freezing.
