The Rheem 173797 Protech Manual Reset Limit Switch with Flanged Airstream for Rheem/Ruud/Nordyne/Enterprise Heat Pumps or Air Conditioning Systems is constructed with a complete brass stem mechanism for durability. The limit switch has a manual reset style and requires a customer accessible trigger arm for wiring. This unit helps to prevent unnecessary damage and service costs, while prolonging the life of your heat pump system.

The Limit Switch - Manual Reset is used to prevent damage to the compressor by turning it OFF when high side pressure or temperature rises above the preset limits. It can be used instead of or in addition to a low pressure switch.
