This Limit Switch - Auto Reset (Board Mounted with Base) is used to stop a motor automatically if the load falls off or stalls. When a decelerating motor encounters an overload, the inertia of the load keeps the motor turning beyond its normal cutoff point. The use of a Limit Switch provides protection for the motor by automatically stopping it within its overload protection time. A built-in normally closed micro switch immediately closes on overload and stays closed until reset manually. Automatically resets when normal power resumes when load is re-engaged. Automatic resetting operation eliminates need for special wiring during installation.
