The Baldwin Privacy Latch X FLS is a full function privacy latch that is applied to the outside of the sliding glass door panel. Baldwin Privacy Latches feature two separate locking positions for added convenience and privacy at the touch of a button. When in locking mode, the handle extension and strike plate extension overlap the locked position. This way, when the operator stairs at the lock, they cannot read the actual latch. The Baldwin Privacy Latch X is compatible with Baldwin privacy levers, latches, and back plates as well as all standard privacy locks. The locking side of this latch is reversible. It features a thumb screw to easily change the handle position for right- or left-hand operation.

The Baldwin Privacy Latch has been designed to help prevent the unintentional unlatching of the latch and is compatible with all Baldwin Flush Fitting 5-Latch and Privacy Latch Systems.

The Baldwin Privacy Latch keeps the lid of your Baldwin bedroom or bathroom door closed when not in use. It is designed for use with 5800 Series and 8100 Series door models. The Privacy Latch comes with a flexible installation to allow for easy alignment, and an adjustable backstop to ensure that the latch catches properly, even if the door is not perfectly aligned. It installs so that it is out of the way when the door is open, so that a user can pass through without needing to remove the privacy latch.
