The RHEEM Expansion Valve (TXV) for gas recovery boilers and water heaters replaces the 61-260, 692-397, and 61-268 models. The TXV is a temperature and flow controlled device that senses gas pressure within the burner. When the temperature rises to the set point, it opens and allows greater gas flow. This valve has the bleed port which is positioned on the top side of this item, as shown in the picture above. It will typically vary from unit to unit depending upon your manufacturers specifications but will be very similar to what is offered here.
