This White-Rodgers 5157 1/2" Gas Pilot Safety Valve for Natural Gas has a compact design for use in tight, indoor locations. It features 1/2-inch capacity and 3/8-inch FNPT inlet/outlet connections.

The 5157 Gas Pilot Safety Valve detects gas pressure and releases excess pressure to protect pilot system. It is used for Natrium (Rochelle) cup pilots and 1/2" cylinder pilots allowing use on natural gas or propane. Contains a built in check valve to assist in reducing air leaks.

This Series 5157 1/2" gas pilot safety valve is equipped with a floating pilot that provides automatic protection against hazardous conditions like low or high water pressure, temperature, and gas loss. It also includes a bronze body, internal blocking device, and backsiphonage prevention.

The 5157 Series gas pilot safety valve is a direct-acting, non-adjustable, pilot pressure relief device designed to pro-vide positive protection of the gas supply against overpressure resulting from malfunctions in the system. The 5157 Series valve is not designed for continuous duty or service on equipment requiring continuous pilot operation.
