Right out of the box, this Baldwin 8329102 8329 2.25" Mortise Cylinder C keyway, Oil Rubbed Bronze was obviously designed and made to last. It's a component of the Baldwin 8459 lockset, which is one of my favorite locksets.

Baldwin 8329102 (8329 2-1/4C) 2.25" C Keyway Mortise Lock Oil Rubbed Bronze Door Entry lock is Made From Solid Brass and it is Brushed Nickel or Satin Chrome plated finish to protect the brass from rusting. This Baldwin Mortise lock has been coated with a lead free environment safe plating system consisting of zinc and hot dipped nickel over solid brass, and it also gives the lock a bright uniform finish that will not under standard use tarnish or turn dull.

The Baldwin 8329 2-1/4" mortise cylinder features a C or D keyway in oil rubbed bronze hardware.

The 8329 2-1/4" Mortise Cylinder C Keyway, Oil Rubbed Bronze is an ideal lock for a small storage cabinet or china cabinet. This lock works well with most Baldwin KS Series Keyway cylinders and has a backset of 2-1/4". The door thickness should not exceed 1-7/8".

This mortise cylinder comes with an 8329 unique keyway, which is a 2-1/4 inches mortise cylinder. It can be used in a standard mortise lock of 1-1/8 inches to 1-3/8 inches with an aftermarket tailpiece. The finish is a contemporary style made for door knobs that are oil rubbed bronze and interior knobs that are black.
