The WHITE-RODGERS 14440 is a 3-position Fan Relay - Type 84. The manufactures part number is WR/RBM Type 84.

The White-Rodgers WR/RBM Type 84 Fan Relay is a single Pole, two Throw (SP2T) snap action relay for switching 115VAC loads. The switch contacts are rated 15A at 240VAC. A single 18-pin DIP package contains a pair of relays and supports up to 8 contacts.

The White-Rodgers WR/RBM Type 84 fan relay is enclosed to provide protection against harsh environments. Meets CSA, UL, and NEC codes. The WR/RBM family of fan relays offers several different circuit arrangements in a variety of configurations. These relays are used in combination heat pump systems to protect the system from excessive pressures or temperatures, by opening or closing the relay contacts which then interrupts power from the system intermediate transformer (SIT).

The WR/RBM Type 84 Fan Relays from White-Rodgers are enclosed with a thermostatically-controlled housing and a green wire guard. Available in either Standard or Bimetal ratings, some models are also available with Auxiliary contacts.

White-Rodgers Type 84 fan relays are enclosed, mechanical switching devices designed for single phase, capacitor start induction and absorption motors. They provide a combination of performance and cost advantages over solid state controls. Fans primed by free wheeling and energized by winding stop are contolled by a constant torque motor starter. These relays can be controlled from any accessible point on the load side of the circuit.

A fan relay module for use in unit-construction motor control centers. The unit has two poles, 120/240-VAC coils with a 250-VAC () maximum contact rating, and screw terminals. A terminal cover is provided on the rear of the module.

The WR/RBM series fan relays are designed to replace standard wafer IEC (2-circuit) and US92B (4-circuit) relay assemblies. The WR/RFM series is for use in 4-wire fan control systems, where the wafer of the IEC relay has been removed.
