This drain valve is a direct replacement for the Johnson Controls A-4000-156 & A-4000-15 units. The valve can be used to replace the existing drain valves on either the Johnson Controls A-4000-156 or Johnson Controls A-4000-15 toilets.

A-4000-15 & A-4000-156 are used in fire pump systems that require an electric motor to start the water pump. The motor starts the water pump by turning an impeller, which sends water to places like a sprinkler system. The drain valve attached to the A-4000 will open when an electrical signal is received from a controller and allow the water that has been pumped into the discharge pipe to drain out of the system.
