The ABB AUXILIARY CONTACT CA5-10 is a cartridge contact suitable for use in power distribution units. This contact is used for measuring and control applications, e.g. fire protection, automatic shutdown, isolation of sources or loads and other applications where switching functions are required.
When mounted on a circuit breaker, the ABB AUXILIARY CONTACT provides additional protection against electrical overloads and short circuits. It is designed to be used on ABB circuit breakers within the range of 2.5 - 100 amperes, connection voltage up to 600V.
The Abb AUXILIARY CONTACT has a screw mounted body. It has a 16-16 A / 10-32 V DC. The contact type is Single Pole 4 Wires 3 Pins 1NO+1NC Std SEL NONRMA. It also has vertical mounting.
This auxiliary contact fits in the ABB Compact Controller CA5-10 and is used to protect the S4 controlled device from overload.
The CA5 auxiliary contact features two unlatching relays and twelve auxiliary poles. This contact is a direct replacement for the existing auxiliary contacts currently used in ABB drives. These contacts include a built-in coil, mounting rails, push to test switch, connection terminals with wires that are pre-soldered and a diode.
The CA5-10 is designed for use with ABB contactors and for 24 VDC or 110/230VAC applications. This auxiliary contact is fully sealed and requires neither auxiliary power supply nor additional contacts. It features a setting range zero to 0.02 A (10 A, 125 VA at 250 VAC) in output, which can be remote adjusted on request. The contact is supplied with 2 m insulated cable and contacts insulated to withstand 100 VDC.
The AUXILIARY CONTACT CA5-10 is a EATON original construction solution. The AUXILIARY CONTACT CA5-10 is designed to be a direct replacement for equipment manufacturer equipment protection that provides the electrical circuit overload and short circuit protection to various forms of equipment, tools and machinery used by maintenance and electricians on site. It's protective functions are achieved by providing trip free and detent free operation to protected equipment through the use of an electrically operated mechanism which is actuated by any overcurrent or short circuit fault on the protected circuit.
