This unit is a replacement or additional pipe and nozzle assembly for the AS-90 Self-propelled 155 mm gun. It includes the 9" Blast Tubes, recoil mechanism, hydraulic cylinders, blast tube liners and nozzle support structure. The unit is made up of components designed to be fitted into an existing gun turret and fed from an armoured ammunition storage vehicle. Eight air blast tubes are connected through a manifold to an air actuator each side of the ammunition compartment at the rear of the turret.
