The AQUAMIX LEAD FREE MIXING VALVE 1/2 inch UNION PEX provides a flexible, economical and dependable connection for installing new PEX tubular heating pipes in existing copper applications. The product is not to be used with a flexible coupling and 2 straight PEX pipes should not be connected to it directly.

The Honeywell Aquamix Lead Free 1/2 inch Union PEX Mixing Valve provides a, cost-effective solution for connecting your PEX tubing to existing copper and CPVC plumbing systems. This product can be used for both hot and cold water lines, with a maximum flow rate of 2.0 GPM @ 80 psi. It features durable construction, made of brass/nickel plated brass mix valve mechanism, lead free/brass body material and defrost control capability. It is designed to withstand clogging as well as freezing temperatures and comes equipped with a built-in frost protection boot.

The 280157 is a Honeywell Aquamix Mixing Valve assembly with a 1/2 inch Union PEX port connection. The Aquamix mixing valve provides the same top quality mixing performance as Honeywell’s standard mixing valves, but at a more economical price.

This AQUAMIX LEAD FREE mixing valve offers an exceptionally low lead content of 0.25% (tests have shown that the plumbing materials for this valve actually leach lead, therefore 1/2 % is a maximum safe amount, however to be 100% safe the plating should offer greater than 0.25% lead; this piping tends to allow corrosion due to the high levels of oxygen in the water).
