The American Standard 605 4" Deck Plate for Metering Faucet is designed to cover such things as area-of-discharge or back-flow prevention devices. The Deck Plate has flanges that slide into the grooves of the faucet body and lock securely.

4" DECK PLATE FOR METERING FAUCET

This is the 3rd Deck plate that I bought for my well water house. It is the same type of cartridge, but the last two times, I had to work to get it on the faucet. Adding more O-Ring # 805P100.002 helps seal better. I highly recommend buying the company's products because they are top quality and they hold up to hard use. My first one lasted 3 yrs, and my second one is 8 months old and still working great!
