The Ruud Protech NOX insert assembly contains all the necessary components of the gas conversion unit. The Protech NOX features a simple ON/OFF switch and easy to read pilot light. This is a cartridge design, which allows for easy replacement of the entire burning unit without the need for altering or adjusting burners.

The RHEEM 184376/UN by Ruud NOX Insert Assembly is a component in the NOx emission reduction system which is used with gas-fired water heaters to improve air quality. By using an exhaust run (or vent) to draw combustion byproducts of incomplete combustion from the water heater into the combustion chamber. Internal baffles separate the flue gasses from the water heater chamber to facilitate removal of combustion byproducts.
