This SFP supports up to 8 Gbps data throughput and is compliant with the IEEE 802.3ae standard. The MDS-SFP-8GSW-AX is also compliant with the IEEE 802.3af standard, which allows it to be used with the AXIOM MDS-8G-SFP+ switches in PoE mode.
