It is also rated for installation with heated air or steam, or with liquids that are corrosive, flammable, or potable (includes sanitary waste).

The 3 way, 24V DC actuator cannot be solenoid operated for direct 24 VDC control. This model is designed so that a separately supplied electronic controller will provide the appropriate switching signal to cause the coil to release the normally closed contacts (NC). Operation of the coil is controlled by signals from a microprocessor based controller and not an input signal from a "switch."
