The Minipeeper UV flame detector detects flames in gas and liquid fuel-burning appliances including boilers, furnaces, water heaters, fireplaces, cooking ranges and ovens. The unit consists of a sensing head with sensor, flame sensor control module (PCM), and power supply.

The Minipeeper UV Flame Detector is a photoelectric and ultraviolet (UV) flame sensor designed for detecting slow flaming fires. The detector will detect fires that produce large amounts of dark or black smoke.  The 135° beam angle provides a detection field that is wider than most standard flame detectors yet will not over detect surface burning gasoline fires which produce a large amount of light colored, translucent smoke.

The Minipeeper UV Flame Detector uses proprietary ultraviolet technology to detect flame. UV light is emitted and reflected back to the sensor when a flame is present. The UV light illuminates a UV sensitive photodetector that converts the light into an electrical signal. When the UV detector is used in a fire alarm application, a relay will drop when a flame or light source is detected and the audio alarm will sound on a local speaker or be transmitted through the fire alarm system.

Put safety first. The Minipeep Flame Detector has been laboratory tested, and is UL listed for use in fire alarm systems, gas detection systems, or both. Plus, it's perfect for home use as a free standing tabletop or wall-mounted unit. No wiring is required--simply connect the power cord to an electrical outlet and plug the device into your wall socket wherever you need it. You'll also have the option of installing a stand for this detector by using special mounting hardware (not included).
