It is designed to relieve pressure on the line by allowing the angler to control how much weight is in the water and keeping it off of the boat deck. This device allows you to save your downrigger ball and insert its own weight at any position on your line, while keeping more weight in the water, preventing it from being wasted.

A simple, easy-to-use weight retriever for trolling reels and downriggers, the RETRO-EASE WEIGHT RETREIVER is designed to solve the problem of getting line back onto your reel quickly, easily and accurately.

Our Retro-Ease Weight Retriever is the design with all of the strength and smoothness of the original Cannon retriever, but without the choking hazards. By placing a stopper on your rod casing, this weight retriever keeps your line at a safe distance from your baits during retrieves. The Quick-Release Clamp allows for quick and easy hook removal when caught up on bottom structure.

Cannon has designed a line of downriggers that will take the worry out of needing to get your lines back up after diving. The Retro-Ease Weight Retriever is new from Cannon and can be used with Cannon Downriggers. This is a weight retriever that stores up to twenty five pounds of weight in an easy release system. The main retrieval rope runs through the weight system and attaches to the quick release handle for increased safety or retrieving large fish.
