OIL SEPARATOR HEATER
The Carrier 00PPN800000300A OIL SEPARATOR HEATER is designed to heat an incoming oil stream prior to delivery to the base heat exchanger and provide mixing of the treated stream with a source of feed water thereby reducing operating costs. This is accomplished by discharging hot effluent from other equipment through a louver and waterproofed copper piping connected to the upper inlet of the OIL SEPARATOR HEATER. During winter when temperatures reach around 0° F there may be an accumulation of ice on the equipment. This accumulation can damage certain components within the OIL SEPARATOR HEATER, reduce
Maintain optimal oil viscosity by reducing oil breakdown and eliminating water with Carrier's Oil Separator Heater. It automatically keeps the heat at a constant level to help disperse dissolved water.
Stay warm as you travel from event to event or site to site with our oil separator heater. This portable, safe product will warm oil and water for you wherever you need to go. Made of durable aluminum and stainless steel, it has a built-in thermostat and drain, so the oil temperature can be monitored easily. It also has a handy carrying handle on the back so that it's transportable from one job to another.
This oil separator heater is designed to be installed in a return air duct to provide whole-home heating by recovering waste heat from the warm return air. This unit offers up to 2.5 watts/ ft² at 590 cfm, and comes with two attachment flanges and hardware for quick installation. It includes controls, an auto drain, and an internal pressure switch with a safety pilot light. This unit uses R410A refrigerant. At 35 dB(A), this unit sports a temperature setting of 70 degrees Fahrenheit, and has an efficiency rating of 98%.
This Carrier Oil Separator Heater circulates and warms the oil before it goes into your heater. This process removes moisture from the oil, making it suitable for use in most oil-fired gas heaters.
For environmental and safety reasons, many countries have banned the use of open-flame heaters in permanently installed furnace and water heater systems. This product is recommended as a replacement for such systems. The Carrier Oil Separator Heater uses an advanced circulation process that pulls combustion gases through the heating unit, allowing combustion temperatures to be quickly lowered to avoid vent gas flash-back into the furnace. A carrier oil separator heater provides greater safety due to its complete combustion process and lack of vent gases.
If your oil separator shuts off and is flashing an alarm, you may have a clog in your heater or the float switch may not be working properly. The oil separator heater element is located behind the control panel. There are two 1/4 in. NPT ports on the heater drain side for coiling the hot water return line to the tank. To troubleshoot the heater, try the following three procedures.
Without an oil separator, oil has a tendency to pool in the bottom of the tank. This renders the heater useless because essential oil isn't getting up to where it needs to be-out through the burner.
Efficient, cost-saving heaters with minimal oil separation that reduce potential for combustion.
Oil Heater self-contained heating element is pre-wired with standard J-Box and power cord, UL Listed.
In commercial refrigeration applications, especially gas and electric refrigeration, it is important to keep the oil warm so liquid oil will return to a state of saturation when a condensing unit is turned off or taken out of service. The filter drier's radiant heating element warms the air around the compressor's oil filter or suction tube, which keeps the oil from becoming too cold and viscous. The finish is Black powder coating.
Thermostatically controlled. CSA certified. Easy to install.
