The Carrier Over Temp. Protector provides protection for your Carrier furnace during start-up. The factory installed Auto-Restart control limit is 210 °F (99°C). The Over Temp. Protector will monitor the temperature of the furnace against this 200 °F limit and automatically shut off power to your furnace if its temperature should rise above the 200 °F limit. Once the temperature of the furnace has returned below the 200 °F limit, power will automatically be restored to your furnace.

The Carrier 350001-2032 Bryant toploader over temp. protector is built to be used with Carrier heat pumps and air conditioners. It comes with a 3/4 inch diameter shunt for an easy install on a 17 along with a 20-3 thermocouple probe.
