This Carrier 48TJ500104 Flue Box, 500 Series is a compatible replacement for part number of OEM models. BioCote Antimicrobial Product Protection helps inhibit the growth of bacteria on this part and it is better than traditional smoke tube insulation. BioCote is EPA-registered to demonstrate greater performance than standard fire-tube insulators. The presence of oil breaches this contaminant barrier, causing bacteria and/or mold to grow immediately upon contact with the BioCote protected surface, thereby helping to prevent mildew and bacterial odors from developing in the first place.
