This is a genuine Carrier manufactured Support Assembly. This product is an essential part of the evaporator system, which pulls air through your home via forced air ducts. The evaporator coil serves as a filter, capturing dust that has accumulated within the home, recirculating it into the air to be filtered yet again by the support assembly.

The Carrier 50DK406552 Support Assembly is the replacement hinge bracket for the left and right exterior door. It has two screws attaching to door frame. This part is located inside the door.

The Carrier 50DK406552 Support Assembly supports the motor wheel and wheel brace as it moves to direct the airflow. Whenever second hand pulley is in need of replacement the blower wheel should also be replaced due to excessive wear on blower wheel teeth.

The support assembly includes a motor and blower housing, a motor control board, a damper, a motor mounting plate and a blower wheel. The blower wheel may be damaged if the blower housing is not installed prior to shipping it.
