The Carrier 296616 50DK504557 draft shield keeps cold air from seeping through around your door.
Protect your home and family from contaminated outdoor air that may contain harmful airborne pollutants by sliding this draft shield into place. The draft shield fits in front of the existing R-22A air filter and reduces infiltration of frigid outdoor temperatures, dust and dirt through the inside wall of your central air conditioning system.
The Carrier 50DK snap-on draft shield is an energy-saving, replaceable door pane that provides an air barrier to reduce energy loss while maintaining appropriate indoor air quality. The Draft Shield fits the following Series 5 models: 38CKC036P012BB, 38CKC036P024BB, 38CKC036P048BB, and 38CKC036P060BB. This kit replaces Carrier 204952, which is no longer available.
Brand new Carrier 296616 50DK504557 draft shield. This was installed in a home that was built in 2008 by a luxury custom builder. This is the same as an Infinity Peripheral Duct System with registers, grilles and collar installed into the ceiling at the inverted T down to the floor registers with wall vent cover plates, metal perforated duct and very visible colored wire harness, all of which still work excellent. 57" wide x 61" deep x 6" high panel
The Carrier 296616 Draft Shield installs easily and offers superior insulation with very little airflow resistance. It's made from lightweight vinyl, but designed for maximum durability with double seamed stitching. The 30" by 24" shield is available in white to complement the HDX series of Heat Pumps.
The Carrier Thermostatic Air Control (TAC) Draft Shield is a dual duct, adjustable draft shield that is needed along with a Thermostat installed between the furnace blower and the vent system. The draft shield helps control cold or warm air when using a thermostat.
