Constructed for rough industrial applications, this 12 ton TXV is designed to operate on either R22 or 407c refrigerants. The TGEX provides complete end-to-end leak protection with reduced parts, less field calibration requirements, and lower operating costs.

The Carrier R22 TXV is a lead-lag type thermoelectric cooling and heating unit. The thermoelectric cooling and heating section is factory installed and preassembled for the user to incorporate the HVAC system into the secondary loop of an existing cooling/heating system. It incorporates a self-diagnostic capability that allows for live monitoring of current and voltage conditions as well as temperature set point during operational mode. The TGEX coil has been tested to operate at 208 volts input volts and equipped to operate with an outdoor temperature variation of –58 – 118 degrees F (-50 – 48 C).

The Carrier TGEX series TXV valves are a line of advanced service valves which can be used in systems ranging from one- to six-stage multi-step compressor applications. These series TXV valves incorporate a unique pneumatic expansion device that opens the valve when both superheat and suction gas temperatures are much higher than average conditions. This high temperature condition is caused by a stage which was operating at its minimum capacity, cycling off, or by the introduction of outside air into the HVAC system.
