The Carrier HC98 Motor Mount Arm is specially designed to support the weight of the Carrier heat pump, compressor and condenser fan motor assembly. Its sturdy construction provides long arm life, and it is easy to install to your home's ceiling joists using lag bolts. The HC98 Motor Mount Arm is designed for use with R-410A equipment only and must be installed by a qualified contractor. At least two workers are recommended for its installation.

This motor mount arm is used in Carrier gas furnaces, and packaged with the furnace. It is part of the blower assembly and helps direct the flow of air. The product is sold as a component only. In most cases, it is not ordered separately or requested separately by name other than to assist in locating a combination gas furnaces, furnaces with humidifiers or furnaces with air cleaners on them.
