The Carrier HH18HA597 Limit Switch is designed to replace a limit switch on Carrier air conditioners and furnaces. It is made of high-quality materials for long-lasting use. This unit is designed to monitor the temperature rise within an air handling unit in order to shut down operation of the unit for safety purposes. The limit switch monitors the temperature within the heat exchanger as well as the discharge temperature. Two wires connect each sensor wire to a separate terminal block which is then attached to the Limit Switch. The Carrier Limit Switch kit is designed for use with the electronic limit controller. The kit includes two limit switches and will go on the end of control signal wires (yellow). When the weight is totaled out, the yellow wire should be connected with a red wire and then to the yellow wire that runs from the controller. Then when an operator walks up to their station; they will bring along their mobile computer. Once there, their computer will send a signal to the controller which in turn will send a signal to the limit control system.
